Episode 41: The Whispering Wind
Our deviantly cool intro reading comes from Laieanna of the Hodgepodge Point podcast. She recently featured my readings of a couple of my dark poems in this episode of her show. Laieanna, thanks so much for the intro, and for the incredible support you've shown CLMW. Much love.
In this episode I also thanked those of you who responded to my MySpace bulletin about being called a "webscab" for not demanding that you pay for my work. Here's the link I promised you to the very funny writing of Ray Tice of StolenSoap.com. Check it out if you're in the mood for a bit of levity.
I hope you enjoy the story and, as always, you can let me know what you thought through the comments below.
Oh yeah, here's a web player in case you'd like to listen to the story from right here:

Wonderful story! Even if I would have liked to know of what the wind had ordered at the end.
Aww your daughter sounds soo cute~! This is S.A, after my own little revelation, I decided to change my pen-name. No more S.A even though I can't say this one is much more...appropriate ^^''b
That was a great story~! I bet the wind was asking her to kill or something, like an Amityville type thing but that's just my interpretation~!
We’ll I’m finally making the effort to comment! I apologize for not doing it sooner I discovered your Pod cast a few weeks ago on Podiobooks and have been trying to catch up on your past casts since then, and now I feel full informed enough to post
I think your Latest story has to be the creepiest one I’ve heard so far, I guess fear and levels of creepiness are relative but that one did it for me, I think because the idea came from the mind of your daughter ( who sounds very cute BTW) makes it slightly more innocent and that little bit more unnerving!!
Anyway I’ll make sure to post more often!!
Thanks for the wonderful stories

Russel, don't take this the wrong way, but this great great story would be even creepier with your daughter's voice!
The "whispering wind" is one of your best stories so far and one of the most enjoyable moments I spent listening to any podcast ever.
I hope someday I can listen to it again, this time with the voice of a real child in the dialogues!I know I have no right to ask you this, but please someday try to re-record this story and let us know!

I liked this one. It was simple, easy to follow, and deliciously creepy. Keep it up.
Hey Russell,
Loved this one. I usually don't get chills listening to a story, but this was an exception!
An idea though; you still haven't done a story involving a horrific kitchen accident since "The Watchbird". I can suggest quite a few possibilities....
Take it easy, and my best to your family.

Hi! I stumbled upon your podcast via itunes during a bout of insomnia. I have since downloaded and listened to all of your stories. I thought it was about time I stopped by here to give you the praise you deserve! Excellent work! I love all of your stories. This one in particular. I remember as a child being spooked by the wind. I grew up (and still live in) a wooded area in Georgia and I remember being afraid of the wind, especially when it blew and the tree branches would knock agains the windows. This brought back that childhood fear! Excellent Story! I really got chills from this one!
Keep up the good work and my best to you and your family! =)
Truly creepy. Enough left to the imagination to give you serious goosebumps... Great story!
